Morden Hall has been good to us for wedding video in 2016, our highest acclaimed wedding film Praj & Angela was shot there which received coverage in the wedding press, and we are on course to film our sixth wedding there in six months.
A mere 45 minutes by car or 1hr by tube, Morden is becomming our local venue despite us being based in Greenwich. The team there are fantastic. Heading things up at Morden Hall are Emma and Amber who cannot do enough for their couples on the wedding day and they also make a fantastic and refreshing effort with all suppliers to ensure the weddings go as smooth as possible.
A personal preference is that all our couples have exclusive use of any venue, something we find can really benefit a wedding film so this is another plus for Morden Hall. There are ample spots to get great wedding video footage from, the grounds boast a romantic bridge over the water and there is no shortage of wildlife we have spent far too long trying to capture the perfect shot of- the herring is especially tricky!
The bridal suite is absolutely stunning for any bride to get ready in, it’s very spacious with a seperate dressing room to the bed filled with mirrors creating incredible natural light to let the bride look her best. There is a freestanding mirror that is the nicest we have come across, the styling of the frame of it really compliments our milky flared film footage.
Ceremonies can take place either on the top floor or at the room to the botttom of the staircase for those brides who want a beautiful entrace down the stairs, gown in full flow behind them. The bar is very modern and stylish for your uncle to prop himself up against however it is also that bit quieter within it as the dancefloor is in another part of the venue, allowing more elderly or younger family and friends a spot to relax in if the day has tired them out.
We love a slow motion confetti shot and Morden Hall lets you get just that, there is no wait until you get off the grounds policy here.
Last but not least the Canapes are incredible- we’d advise the battered shrimps and sesame chicken skewers if you’re still undecided.
